NAME
When the shop was just a twinkle in my eye, names abounded. What to call a shop whose goal was not just to sell yarn and needles but also to be a gallery for local crafty folks to sell their wares? I wanted something that was more than just “Ye Olde Yarn Shoppe”…something with the essence of practical art in it. Hmmm…. And it came to me as I dozed off to sleep snuggly at my grandmother’s house one Christmas eve. Our family and friends are the type of folk who enjoy word play. One favorite is the spoonerism. I tumbled my ideas around my head and Article Pract fell out: a name that’s fun, unique, and with practical art at its core. |
